Machine vision on the key

CAMERAS FOR MACHINE VISION, SOFTWARE AND INTEGRATION
INTO EXISTING OR NEW MACHINES

With our ELVAC Vision System (EViSys) we automate, speed up and refine your product inspection. This comprehensive solution includes not only machine vision camera systems, but also software working with artificial intelligence and neural networks. We developed the software ourselves and are constantly improving it according to our customers’ needs.

Advantages

Practical benefits of ELVAC Vision

Fast and accurate control

By implementing artificial intelligence and neural networks, ELVAC Vision can control a product on a line operating at tens to hundreds of ms. This means that it does not slow down the production process while detecting shape inaccuracies. Deviations in the order of hundredths of mm are evaluated by conventional machine vision algorithms. The reliability of the evaluation itself is enhanced by the ability to retrain the neural network with additional production images.

24/7/365 — stable results

If the quality of the product is evaluated by operators, it may happen that different people evaluate the same thing differently. The operator's ability to detect the discrepancy decreases with increasing fatigue. Both of these aspects are solved by the ELVAC Vision System working in 24/7/365 mode.

Friedly interface for service

ELVAC Vision System is equipped with software in which the user can find customized statistics, view the history of images with measured data or view a live preview of the current inspection. In addition to viewing data and results, the interface allows you to change the settings of the inspection process.

Robot guidance

The ELVAC Vision is a highly efficient solution for robot guidance and position correction, especially where precision product handling is important, such as picking and stacking. Using advanced machine vision algorithms, ELVAC Vision System ensures reliable and optimized production processes. The solution also includes an integrated communication module that is tailored to the specific robot type.

ELVAC Vision System — EViSys is a comprehensive and flexible solution for all your machine vision needs.

OLZA | Sheet metal pressing for the engineering industry

Prior to deploying the ELVAC Vision camera inspection, we used an air leakage measurement solution on our ferrule* quality control machine. However, this proved insufficient and complaints increased, causing financial losses and complicating customer relations. After we approached ELVAC, who implemented ELVAC Vision‘s smart optical inspection solution, our problems disappeared and we are no longer seeing any more complaints. Based on this experience, we have already requested another machine from ELVAC to inspect the coolers.

VALEO | Automotive

Originally, we used another supplier’s machine vision system on the presses, which was based on classical methods that were difficult to parameterize. It was already outdated and did not meet our requirements for reliability of evaluation. Another disadvantage was the high power consumption of the installed reflectors for constant illumination of the products even in intense sunlight. ELVAC helped us to identify these shortcomings and offered an alternative solution.

The newly installed ELVAC Vision System (EViSys) is based on neural networks that can be easily retrained to ensure long-term reliability of the evaluation. The floodlights have been replaced with industrial illuminators in the infrared spectrum, so they can cope with sunlight without dazzling the operator. They also have an order of magnitude lower power consumption, resulting in a monthly reduction of over 90% in the cost of operating the camera system.

CTS | Automotive

We have deployed the ELVAC Vision System (EViSys) on our car pedal production line. The operator was in charge of the output quality control, but due to the higher efficiency and reliability we decided to integrate this machine vision system. We chose ELVAC and their ELVAC Vision System because of their many years of cooperation and positive references in the automation industry. The output part of the line is now operated by a robotic arm complemented by the ELVAC Vision camera system, which monitors the quality of the pedals produced. The subject of the output optical inspection is the precise measurement of gaps, DMC reading, but also the detection of cracks or scratches using neural networks.
